FNA Zoning Committee

Project Description:
Fishtown Automotive site. Proposed conversion of existing quadplex into condominiums with parking garage. This developerment is related to the proposed development at Columbia and Thompson but is being treated as a separate project.

Project History:

• 2007-03-13: Developer meets with the FNA zoning committee.
• 2007-03-20: FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding the proposal. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote.
• 2007-03-20: No formal vote was taken on this project; instead the meeting was informational only. The plan will be presented again in conjunction with the proposal for Columbia and Thompson, and there will be a formal vote (see below)
• 2007-04-02: FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding both of the developer’s proposals for Columbia & Thompson and 1247-51 Columbia. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote.
• 2007-04-02: 61 people voted on the project presented at the community meeting. Attendees voted to support the project 38-23.
  • Local voters (~500 feet of the project): 20 in favor, 11 opposed
  • Community voters (other Fishtown residents): 18 in favor, 12 opposed
