Columbia and Thompson
Project Description:
The proposal is for the demolition of the existing structure and the construction of residential units. This developerment is related to the proposed development at 1247-51 Columbia but is being treated as a separate project.
Project History:
- 2006: Developer obtains community approval for demolition of the existing structure at Columbia and Thompson and the construction of six residences.
- 2007-03-13: Developer meets with the FNA zoning committee. Because he has acquired additional property, he is changing his proposal from six residences to seven and must therefore meet with the community again.
- 2007-03-20: FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding the proposal. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote.
- 2007-03-20: No formal vote was taken on this project; instead the meeting was informational only. The plan will be presented again in conjunction with the proposal for 1247-51 Columbia Avenue, and there will be a formal vote.
- 2007-04-02: FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding both of the developer’s proposals for Columbia & Thompson and 1247-51 Columbia. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote.
