Project Description:
The proposal is for the construction of a four story building with condominiums and ground floor retail on the vacant lot at the corner of Berks and Girard Streets.
Project History:
- 2006-11-14: Developer meets with the FNA zoning committee.
- 2006-11-21: Developer presents a preliminary plan to the community and obtains preliminary feedback.
- 2007-03-13: Developer meets with the FNA zoning committee to present revised plans for the property.
2007-04-10:FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding the revised proposal. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote. THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR EARLY MAY.2007-05-01:FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding the revised proposal. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote. THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED- 2007-06-12: FNA zoning committee hosts a community meeting regarding the revised proposal. All residents of Fishtown are eligible to vote.
- 2007-06-12: Fishtown residents attending the community meeting voted in favor of the project by a count of 26 to 15.
- Local voters (~500 feet of the project): 9 in favor, 8 opposed
- Community voters (other Fishtown residents): 17 in favor, 7 opposed
